previously known to be Microsoft Access
is one of the great Database Management System from Microsoft
that actually combines the relational Microsoft Jet Database Engine
with a Graphical User Interface and consists of software-development
tools. It is also a member of the Microsoft Office suite. The current
version of Microsoft Access 2010 was released by Microsoft in Office
2010 and Microsoft Office Access 2007 was the prior version.
MS Access always stores data in its own format based on the Access Jet
Database Engine. MS-Access can also import or link directly to data
stored in other applications and databases.
Sometimes
you may think to set the password on MS-Access file,If
that folder contains confidential and important files then it
advisable that always protect it with password.This enables you for specific collaboration scenarios and
features that are designed to help make your documents and files more
secure.
So, Here are the following steps that
you need to follow to make your file protected:-
- First, open the existing database or create a new database either in .mdb or .accdb format.
- Now, click on the Database Tools tab.
- Then, click on Set Database Password.
- If you find any problem here in this step then refer/follow the below given few steps:-
- Click on Microsoft Office Button again >Click on Open option (Open Dialog Window will appear).
- Now, from here you have to Choose Database file (eg. ...\bin\debug\data.mdb).
- Click on Drop-down of Open Button >Select Open Exclusive.
- Now, Click on Database Tools to Set the Database
Password, Here you have to enter the password. When everything is
done click on OK.
Always
make an effort to use or create a strong password so that you can
easily remember it, but if somehow you loss your password then
MS-Access file will be inaccessible for you. So in that situation you
might get perplexed, Although their is nothing like to get hassel as
its not a big deal but in that situation you need to use Access Password Recovery to regain an
access of the lost password.
