  • Click on File tab > click Info > click Encrypt with Password option.
  • Now, for Setting the Database Password dialog box appears.
  • Here, type your password in the Password box, type it again in the Verify the password, and then finally click OK.

Always make habit of using the strong password which combines uppercase, lowercase letters, symbols and numbers into it. How to Protect Database File in Microsoft Access 2007

  1. First, open the existing database or create a new database either in .mdb or .accdb format.

  • Click on Microsoft Office Button>Click on Close Database.

  • Click on Drop-down of Open Button >Select Open Exclusive.
  • Now, Click on Database Tools to Set the Database Password, Here you have to enter the password. When everything is done click on OK.
