Have
you ever handed a Excel spreadsheet which
is password protected and the password is not known to you?
It becomes very easy for you to unprotect the file when the password
is known to you. Go to the following options: Tools
>Protection
>Unprotect
Workbook.
Of-course,
the person who gave you the file not necessary would know the
password. Because it could happen that file is of some other person,
who has just left in between with password-protection enabled
features. And that file creates a hassle to you.
While
searching on internet will find several password recovery utility
which allows to recover the password of Excel workbook. Some are
available for free download and some costs money. Some require you
to send the file to them which is actually not a good idea if your
file contains confidential data.
So,
I did try a utility that is Stellar Phoenix Excel Password Recovery
which was provided on website with some useful information. Anyways
it will take few minutes to recover the password. Now I have a
working password! Fantastic.
